How We Handle Corrections
Substantive factual errors are corrected directly in the article text, the dateModified metadata is updated, and a revision milestone is appended to the article’s Developing Story Timeline.
As new primary sources report additional figures or official responses, our newsroom updates the dispatch while preserving prior revision snapshots in the database.
If a primary source retracts a dispatch or an article fails post-publication verification, it is immediately moved to NEEDS_REVIEW pending investigation.

Email corrections@dotmr.com with the article URL and supporting primary documentation. Our desk reviews all requests within 24 hours.
